The first week of August, 2010 saw the doors open to Village Gallery Originals, perfectly at home in an elegant nineteenth century building complete with grand central staircase. The gallery is owned and operated by Debra Jackson, an internationally recognized artist and long-time Millbrook resident. Debra has more than 20 years of experience in exhibiting and selling paintings.
The gallery offers original, one-of-a-kind pieces from outstanding Canadian artists, many of whom are local to the surrounding area. The collection includes sculpture, wood, glass, metal, stone, and much more.
Debra teaches ongoing art classes, and regularly features guest artists for lectures and workshops.
At just over an hour north-east of Toronto on the way to the Kawartha Lakes region, 25 minutes from Highway 401, and just two minutes off Highway 115, Village Gallery Originals is a convenient destination in the quaint village of Millbrook. A variety of unique shops, historically significant homes and buildings, picturesque hiking trails, and a famous outdoor theatre await you in the Village in the Valley.
